Born in 1966, in Lithuania, and immigrated to Israel at age five. 1991 - A graduate of the Bezalel academy of fine arts, in Jerusalem. Illustrated more than 70 children's books and 10 educational books, mostly in Israel. Since 2003, started working in Europe. 1994-1997 A visualizer at the Tamir- Cohen advertising agency. 1993-2006 Illustrated a weekly food column in Ha'aretzmagazine. During this time, illustrated 8 cookbooks, and collaborated in many commercial projects. Since 1997 teaches illustration to students in several Israeli academies. (The Shenkar academy of arts and crafts, The Technological institute, The Meymad academy of fine arts). 2004 - A finalist in the Clavischildren's book competition for illustratorswho write their own books, held in Haslett, Belgium. 2005 - Collaborating with the Israeli Ministry offoreign affairs,to put together a traveling exhibition, featuring Israel's finest illustrators. The exhibition, titled "Israillustrators 2007" was successfully shown in book fairs around the world, and will end it's journey at the 2008 Bologna children's book fair. 2006 - A formal representative of Israeli culture in South America. |
